Job summary
Nuttall Bowser are a specialist bridge engineering consultancy start-up, heading into our fourth year of business, based in Bristol operating throughout the UK and beyond. We work across numerous sectors delivering bridge engineering services across all asset lifecycle stages from asset management through to detailed design for asset owners, contractors, property developers and consulting partners. We are based in the Generator Building within the Finzels Reach area of central Bristol – situated in a harbourside setting with just a 5min walk to Cabot Circus and a 10min walk to the train station. The Generator Building is grade II listed structure modernly restored to celebrate its heritage features and history, providing an appropriate fit to our business capability and culture.

Responsibilities
Successful candidates shall gain experience site surveys, structural modelling, structural detailing, structural calculations and report writing for a diverse spectrum of clients and work type.
Minimum Requirements
Specific interest to pursue career in bridge engineering
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering at least 2-1 classification (for Undergraduate on course to)
Ability to demonstrate sound understanding of structural engineering
Willing and able to work towards chartership with the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) or Institute of Structural Engineers (IStructE) and/or other relevant professional body memberships
Preferred Requirements
Working knowledge of drawing and structural analysis software packages preferable
Previous undergraduate structural engineering experience preferable
University modules and coursework within bridge engineering preferable
UK driving license
